Christmas is the time to talk about Love
It is probably the most famous Bible verse. John 3:16
God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son.
If you believe in Jesus you get to live forever with God.
If not, you perish.
That is the essence of the baby Jesus story so many tell at Christmas.
Good news of eternal life. Saved from our sins. God's love.
One of the things I do like about Christmas is all the talk about love. Love seen in the amazing truth that God's own son came into this world. A Savior was born.
And no matter how many times I hear about it, I am always overwhelmed by the fact that God could love me that much.
O holy night. It is the night of the dear Savior's birth. My soul does feel worthy because of the love of God.
The amazing and wonderful story of love.
It is not just a Christmas story. It is an every day story. Every day until Jesus returns to claim his own.
God loved you enough to send His Son to live among us.
His son Jesus loved us enough to die for our sins.
If you believe, you will live forever.
That is the Christmas message. And the day after Christmas message.
Live that love if you are a believer.
Share the good news of that love with those who do not believe.
That love leads to hope, joy, and peace.
Forever.
What a great time of year to make the Jesus decision.
